How to use guide

How to use your
Fishsaverpro

How do we use it?

  1. Tie the line to the top swivel nearest the point of the hook.
  2. Add the clip to the split ring. Weights can then be added to the clip. Size 12 or 16 snapper sinkers work well and are carried by most deep-water fishermen.
    • A rule of thumb is that the added weight to the Fishsaverpro device should be around 20% of the weight of the fish.
  3. Place the point of the hook in the mouth and pierce through the bottom lip.
  4. Place the fish gently head first in the water and let the Fishsaverpro and added weight pull the fish down to a depth where it can recover.
  5. When the fish has reached sufficient depth to recover it will often swim free itself. The hook can also be pulled free by a quick jerk on the line.
  6. To build a gang for dropping more than one fish at a time attach two Fishsaverpro rigs in sequence.
  7. Never drop or spearfish headfirst into the water as the impact can cause severe internal damage.
  8. Do not vent fish but just return them back into the water as early as possible using our rig.
